Learn more about Apple pay.

Apple Pay, in collaboration with Mastercard, provides a seamless and secure digital payment experience for users. As a mobile payment solution, Apple Pay allows users to add their Mastercard to their Apple devices—such as iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and Macs—enabling them to make contactless payments both in stores and online.

Security is one of the primary advantages of Apple Pay with Mastercard. When users add their Mastercard to Apple Pay, the card number is not stored on the device or Apple’s servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is created, which is encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element of the device. Each transaction requires authentication via Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode, making the payment process highly secure. Furthermore, dynamic security codes are generated for each transaction, adding another layer of protection against fraud.

Apple Pay with Mastercard is widely accepted at merchants that support contactless payments. Users can make purchases by simply holding their device near a payment terminal equipped with NFC technology, allowing for quick and convenient payments. Additionally, Mastercard’s global reach means that Apple Pay can be used internationally, wherever contactless Mastercard payments are accepted.

Most Apple models from iPhone 7 and newer are eligible for use with the Credits Mastercard. Credits Mastercard is compatible with a range of Apple devices, including:

  • iPhones: iPhone 6 and later models.
  • iPads: iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, and later models.
  • Apple Watch: All Apple Watch models.
  • See all fees here.
  • These devices must be running iOS 8.1 or later, watchOS, or macOS depending on the device. Compatibility is needed to use Credits Mastercard with Apple Pay for secure, contactless payments.
