Strong Customer Authentication


Safety and the preservation of client funds are our top priorities at Credits. We are continuously working to enhance our system.

We are pleased to announce that, starting from version 5.2.5.5, clients using the mobile application or web version can experience new functionality developed by the Credits team to ensure the security of our services. We have implemented additional verification for transactions when conducting external transactions, known as Strong Customer Authentication (SCA).

What is SCA?

Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is a new requirement of the second Payment Services Directive (PSD2), which aims to add extra layers of security to electronic payments (Such as a password or PIN) / (such as a mobile phone, card reader or other device evidenced by a one-time passcode).

How does it work with Credits?

To ensure security when making external payments, our clients are required to request a one-time password. This password will be sent to the email address provided during account registration, and it must be entered. This additional step ensures the protection of your account.

What are the advantages?

The primary advantage lies in enhancing the security level when utilizing Credits services. Even in the event of a phone theft or account breach, a fraudster won't be able to complete a transaction without access to the user's email inbox. This ensures an additional layer of protection for our clients.
