Greetings!
Welcome to Credits Q&A Session! Thank you for being eager to keep up to date with everything happening at the Credits project. Here are the latest questions from our community.
Q1. Where can we see the dev team and how resources are divided for digital bank and blockchain?
Q2. How many full-time developers do we have? And how many are working on fixing the public blockchain and how many are working on the neo bank/CS wallet or private blockchain development?
A At the moment, our tech team comprises thirty-five professional developers. Half of them perform the cross-functional processes, while six developers are directly engaged in the blockchain. On top of this, with product releases approaching, Credits seeks to hire several professional product managers and product analysts.
Q3. What is the advantage of running EVM on Credits?
A This new feature will launch smart contracts on solidity, similar to those currently operating in ETH systems on our blockchain. Moreover, such smart contracts initiation will not require any additional work.
Q4. What CS wallet will differ from other wallets in the market? It will have extra features that other wallets don’t have?
A Our wallet will be a financial management tool with access to some brokerage and other investment tools. Banking is moving towards more open and democratic means available to everyone. We are creating the product which is sought by the market now. The roadmap for the final version of the wallet is long-term. As of now, we have developed great architecture suitable for loading as many financial services as possible at a later stage. The current beta version of the wallet does not have all the operations that will be added later, but we will start gaining first users already in the meantime and continue installing new features to it.
Q5. Credit coins can be deposited in metamask if EVM on Credits nodes happens right? how long it would takes to achieve that if the team adopts this path?
A These possibilities are in the discussion stage. The duration of such development will take from three to six months.
Q6. What was the reason the CS native web 3 wallet extension “Ceaser” was discontinued? Any plans to reintroduce it? We need such extension for people to use it for easy web 3 integration and development of ecosystem surrounding Credits blockchain.
A This extension is not working at the moment. We will finish it in the future and make it available to all external clients and users.
Q7. Of course, we have a limited budget and hiring new resources would be an issue here. So how can we fix the liquidity issue?
a) Nowadays there is a great interest in blockchain gaming and metaverse project and we have seen such projects doing very good from the valuation perspective.
b) Credits team first showcased the “Tetris” game on the Credits blockchain (the OGs will know), which was discontinued or decided to launch later once the blockchain is sufficiently developed.
c) I believe this is the time we launch a new gaming project (say “Tetris”) running on Credits Blockchain. We need to work out the IDO mechanism and project gaming token type as we do not have any ecosystem built to use CS coins for participating in the new project launch. I am not sure if this is possible or feasible or not. But if we break our heads and find out the way to launch this game project, we can get some liquidity and interest from new members
A It is a great suggestion, and we highly value your interest in Credits. However, the task's success can be reached only if the team is entirely focused on the product. So, the team is focused on further blockchain enhancement and wallet development. If we go ahead with a new initiative, we will have to take resources to other tasks, leaving behind what is not done yet. Our strategy is to accomplish the ongoing development. Many exciting things are happening in the crypto market, including a significant trend for gaming. We agree with this. However, fintech is also rising, and the study shows it will continue conquering the traditional banking and finance industry. So, we are focusing on this market. However, this position does not exclude the possibility of an external party coming and developing a game based on our protocol. We welcome such ideas and support and promote any new products designed on Credits.
Q8. Quoting from the latest weekly digest, "…continued to work on tasks of asynchronous bidirectional API…“ First time I heard of that. For what is this needed or who does it benefit? What is the technology you use to stream events etc. tt.?
A This enhancement is necessary for sending requests to the node that require a lot of time to process. An example of such a request is providing a list of transactions for some wallets. A new feature will significantly diminish the time used by Credits Node API while receiving all the requests.
Functioning is suggested in the two following cases.
for any user: when in response to the request, the request key is returned, and then the user, after a while, receives the result.
for a trusted user: when the node sends the result as soon as it is ready to the user-specified interface compatible with the node.
